Autobia, a Saudi B2B automotive technology startup, has secured $12 million in Series A funding to develop a digital supply chain for the country's spare-parts market. Artal Capital led the round, drawing participation from Aljazira Capital and Saudi Aramco’s venture arm, Wa’ed Ventures.

Founded in 2021 by Emad Daghreri and Ahmed Alawfi, Autobia replaces fragmented procurement channels with a centralized platform. The software connects auto parts retailers and wholesalers directly to verified suppliers while integrating logistics, fulfillment, and embedded financial services.

"Our ambition goes beyond digitising auto parts procurement. We are building a technology platform infrastructure that gives traditional auto parts businesses the intelligence, efficiency, and tools they need to compete and grow," said Emad Daghreri, Co-Founder and CEO of Autobia.

Integrating Embedded Finance

The traditional automotive aftermarket relies heavily on cash-intensive inventory management. Retailers frequently tie up capital in unsold stock or face lost sales due to insufficient inventory. Autobia addresses this structural friction by embedding financing directly into the procurement process. The platform allows businesses to purchase inventory on flexible payment terms and manage transactions through licensed payment and buy now, pay later providers.

"A key part of that vision is expanding access to embedded financial services so our customers can manage working-capital constraints and grow with greater flexibility," said Ahmed Alawfi, Co-Founder and COO.

Capital Deployment and Expansion

The company will deploy the Series A funds to execute its domestic expansion plan. Autobia previously raised a $2.5 million seed round in 2023 led by Sadu Capital. The current capital injection targets three primary objectives:

  • Expanding the company's geographical footprint across Saudi Arabia.
  • Scaling proprietary dynamic pricing technology to adjust rapidly to market conditions.
  • Strengthening physical fulfillment and logistics networks to support reliable delivery.

As Saudi Arabia advances its Vision 2030 initiatives, which prioritize domestic logistics, automotive development, and financial technology, Autobia aims to digitize an essential B2B sector that historically lacks modern infrastructure.
