Editorial Code & Ethics
While we are an independent digital publication, we voluntarily align our news gathering, verification, and writing practices with the standards set forth in the UK IPSO Editors' Code of Practice.
Human Editorial Oversight
AI tools assist our editorial process by identifying relevant stories from public sources and helping to draft initial article content. No article is published on Muslim Tech News without human oversight: every piece is reviewed, fact-checked, and edited by a human editor, who carries out final verification and holds sign-off authority before anything is made public.
We do not publish AI-drafted content unreviewed, and final editorial judgment always rests with our human editorial team. We do not feed non-public documents, confidential insider tips, or sensitive personal identities into public generative AI processors.
Editorial Independence
Our writers do not report on a company, founder, or business where they hold a financial stake, are a paid affiliate, or receive commission from products sold by the subject. Corporate hospitality and high-value gifts do not influence our coverage. Where a minor connection exists between a writer and a subject, it is disclosed directly beneath the article.
Accuracy
We take all reasonable steps to verify factual claims before publication. Conjecture, speculation, and unverified allegations are clearly distinguished from statements of established fact. In matters of public interest or critical profiles of businesses, we proactively offer the subject a meaningful opportunity to comment on the record prior to publication.
How to File a Complaint
If you believe we have published a factual error or breached these standards, email story@muslimtechnews.com with the subject line "Formal Editorial Complaint", including the article link, the exact text disputed, and evidence showing why it is inaccurate. We acknowledge complaints within 3 working days and provide a substantive response within 14 working days. Verified errors are corrected immediately, with a transparent correction note appended to the article.
