Simplifi.my Launches Consumer App, Transitioning from Legal SaaS to Two-Sided Marketplace
Malaysian legal technology startup Simplifi.my is expanding beyond enterprise software, launching a consumer-facing mobile application on iOS and Android to connect businesses directly with legal practitioners. The rollout transitions the startup from a pure software-as-a-service provider for law firms into a two-sided marketplace for legal and property services.
For decades, the legal industry has relied on highly specialized, manual processes. Simplifi.my targets the administrative scaffolding surrounding that legal expertise. Its core platform digitizes operational workflows, including case management, document handling, client communication, and e-invoicing.
Traction and Market Footprint
Enterprise software lives or dies by professional adoption. Since March 2023, Simplifi.my has onboarded more than 250 law firms and 1,000 professionals. During this period, the platform facilitated over 25,000 legal and property transactions, representing more than RM12 billion in total transaction value.
Financial metrics reflect this operational integration. The company reports revenue growth from RM28,500 in 2023 to RM379,278 in recent reporting spanning to 2026. This adoption signals that law firms are actively embedding the software into their daily operations rather than treating it as a peripheral tool.
Connecting Consumers and Professionals
The new mobile application broadens Simplifi.my’s target audience. Instead of solely serving law firms, the platform now provides a direct channel for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and individual consumers. Through the app, users can:
- Search for and connect with licensed lawyers.
- Book eConsultations for legal guidance.
- Access specialized property-related services.
- Manage legal communications directly from mobile devices.
This dual approach creates a network where increased consumer participation drives value for participating law firms, which in turn attracts more users seeking legal services.
AI as an Administrative Tool
While artificial intelligence features heavily in the company's technical roadmap, Simplifi.my strictly positions AI as an administrative aide rather than a substitute for legal judgment. The platform focuses automation on reducing manual data entry, streamlining case management, and improving firm productivity.
Technology should never replace professionals; it should empower them to create greater value for the people they serve.
Simplifi.my emphasizes that the platform itself provides no legal advice; all consultations are conducted by qualified, licensed practitioners.
Founder Experience and Regional Ambitions
Founder and CEO Mohammad Hafiz Hasan built the platform’s product roadmap based on 16 years of experience across banking, property, and legal transactions. He designed the software to address the specific administrative bottlenecks he encountered in the field.
Looking ahead, Simplifi.my plans to spend the next 12 to 24 months expanding its Malaysian market footprint. The company will focus on scaling its eConsultation features, deploying new AI-driven administrative tools, and laying the groundwork for expansion into neighboring Southeast Asian markets. Success will depend on adapting its current operational framework to the distinct regulatory and professional requirements of new jurisdictions.
