Khidma.live: An AI-Powered Islamic Guidance Platform.
WHAT IS KHIDMA
Khidma empowers Muslims globally to strengthen their faith with authentic, personalized,
private Islamic guidance. A private, audio-first platform, it connects users with verified Islamic
scholars and certified Muslim psychologists — with an AI layer that holds them between those
conversations. Khidma sits at the intersection of faith, guidance, and mental wellbeing: faith
tech.
THE PROBLEM
For most Muslims today, there is no private access to a qualified Islamic scholar — no
confidential way to ask how Islam actually applies to their life, their marriage, their mind.
Every existing door leads to the wrong answer. The local imam is often inaccessible to women,
and when he is, the answer is frequently "have sabr" — sometimes from someone who prays
beside her husband. Family talks; sensitive things do not stay quiet. A secular therapist doesn't
know what nikah means and may advise leaving a marriage the person is trying to save. Online
fatwa pages answer a general question, not theirs, written by someone they cannot verify.
So people do nothing — until doing nothing stops being survivable. 65% of Khidma's users have
never spoken to a professional about anything in their life. Khidma is not their first choice of
help. It is their last remaining one.
And the core insight, from Khidma's own intake data: 75% of users say they need both —
Islamic guidance and emotional support. Not one or the other. Almost nowhere else offers both
from people who understand each other's domain. That gap is what Khidma occupies.
THE STORY
Khidma started in January 2026 as a WhatsApp Q&A — scholars answering real questions,
privately, one message at a time.
The demand proved itself immediately. So Khidma built a secure platform with three ways in:
Ask. A free Q&A where anyone can ask a question privately. General questions are answered
immediately. Anything personal, painful, or requiring a ruling goes to a verified scholar — who
replies in his own voice, as a 5-minute personal audio answer.
Speak. Private audio sessions with Islamic scholars and certified Muslim psychologists — to
strengthen both faith and mind. Audio only. No video, no faces, no waiting room.
Begin a path. The Nafs Assessment captures what a user is carrying — in their own words, with
follow-up questions generated from what they actually wrote — and matches them to specific
practitioners, with the reason each one fits. Not a directory. A recommendation they can
understand.
Khidma also built an AI assistant — deliberately limited. It handles basic questions and
references. When it detects that a question is personal, it doesn't attempt to answer: it redirects
to a human scholar. That boundary is by design.
For deeper situations, structured packages — premarital foundation, relationship healing, OCD
and waswasa — where scholars and psychologists work together across multiple sessions to
provide complete care.
Every feature shipped because users asked for it first.
PRIVACY IS THE PRODUCT
For Khidma's users, privacy isn't a feature — it's the precondition. They are contemplating
telling a stranger something they haven't told their own mother.
So: audio-only sessions. Session audio and transcripts deleted within 24 hours. Nothing social,
nothing public, nothing that could surface in a shared household. And users can clear
everything they have ever written or asked, in one place, whenever they want — because the
ability to leave without a trace is part of what makes it safe to arrive.

COMING UP — AI + EXPERT-LED JOURNEYS
Khidma is launching guided journeys — structured paths designed by real scholars and
psychologists, personalized to each user's situation. An ayah chosen for their circumstance.
Journal prompts across the week. Islamic actionables between sessions.
Deliberately not gamified: no streaks, no scores, no "40% complete at healing." At the end of a
week, users get a mirror, not a meter — their week reflected back in plain words, without turning
what they didn't do into a deficit.
The journey is scaffolding between human sessions. When it ends, it points back toward a
person.
WHAT KHIDMA IS CAREFUL NOT TO CLAIM
Khidma is confident about the mechanism: credentialed scholars, qualified Muslim clinicians,
real privacy, and both dimensions of a person's problem addressed together. Users say the
combination is what they couldn't find anywhere else.
Khidma does not claim clinical outcomes. It hasn't yet earned that claim, and won't make it until
the evidence exists to support it. Building that evidence honestly is the next phase of the work.

QUOTES
"Faith-based AI is the most dangerous place to get AI wrong. An AI will confidently give you a
ruling it invented — and someone will build their life on it. That's why ours doesn't answer
personal questions. It finds the reference, and hands the person to a scholar."
— Adeeb Sayeed, Founder & CEO
"Access to scholars was never meant to be a privilege. For fourteen centuries, a Muslim with a
question could sit with someone qualified to answer it. Khidma is simply restoring that — with
the adab and privacy the deen deserves."
— Khizer Khalid, Co-founder & COO
"For centuries, a Muslim in difficulty could reach a scholar. That access has quietly disappeared
for most of the ummah. Khidma is returning something that was always ours."
— Sheikh Abdur Rehman Haran Makki, Verified Islamic Scholar
"After a major breach of trust, we were both in deep pain, but this platform helped us choose
healing over resentment. Through dedicated faith-based sessions, I became more spiritually
conscious while my spouse regained inner peace. We’ve since restored harmony in our home
and established a beautiful spiritual routine together."— Khidma user
